Shaun White Gums Things Up

by The Editors on March 16, 2011

Shaun White LogThe latest company that Shaun White has taken a bite out of is Kraft Foods. Their chewing gum brand Stride has signed a two-year contract to have Shaun be an official brand spokesperson. White appears happy to make room on his helmet for another logo.

“When Stride approached me about partnering with the brand, I knew it would be a great fit and I am looking forward to working with them on some pretty exciting things,” said White.

White will reportedly be involved in a variety of exciting things like “promotional activities throughout the coming months” including “giveaways, digital and social media campaigns, and public relations efforts.” We hope Kraft’s contract is a little stickier than Burton’s or White may not show up at all.

honestly its really too bad that he has grown so cocky. I understand that at a young age the fame can boost ones ego but this is getting ridiculous. I was at the Stratton US Open a few years ago and they made an announcement that Shaun was there but had decided not to compete because he was feeling a bit under the weather. Come on really? I was happy because that would give another rider the chance to win for once but snowboarding isnt about having money and being a little B****. Other riders work twice as hard to get to where shaun is and they are still really humble people. Look at Kevin Pierce and Kelly Clark. Even Louie Vito and Danny Kass. they are mad chill. I would much rather ride with them for they are still riding for the love of the sport and with their friends than with Shaun any day.

so there’s my little rant for the day. even though I have to go research Shaun some more for a Sport Management project because he is just a huge billion air that shows “good business skills”
