We don’t exactly want to accuse Mammoth Mountain of jumping the gun a little on winter, but today they announced that opening day will be November 8, 2012 no matter what.
Nighttime temperatures continue to drop at Mammoth Mountain, and the lingering chill every morning can only mean one thing- Opening Day is right around the corner! Time to dust off the . . . boards, because the lifts start running on November 8!
We can guarantee that it doesn’t look like this at Mammoth now, but come November there will certainly be enough snow to slide on (white ribbon of . . . ). Mark you calendars, book a bargain room, and be shred ready.
