They’re lucky they didn’t get tazed. Cops are out of control. This guy probably will be praised by his boss for how he handled the situation.

The cop was probably going to let all them off with a warning until that kid opened his fucking mouth. It’s amazing what a simple “Sorry officer, we’ll be on our way” will accomplish.
uhh…that looks like an asshole kid to me, not a dick cop. if you call a cop a “fucking asshole” you’re a stupid prick. he’s quite literally doing his job. he doesn’t make the laws. and the kid resisted arrest after caliing him a fucking asshole. the kid knew his buddy was video taping it and he knew he could look like a tough guy if he mouthed off to the cop. not a great way to represent skateboarding. what would tony hawk or todd richards have done in that situation? would they have called the cop a fucking asshole and then resisted arrest while their buddy videotaped it? i doubt it. they would have told the officer they realized he was doing his job and they were sorry for the trouble and gone on with their day.
I agree with NigHeist. Sucks about the San Francisco laws though… I live in Colorado and tons of people use longboards and skateboards as their transportation in the summer

The law may be petty and ridiculous, but why run your mouth to a cop when you know you fucked up? pretty much everyone knows the deal with cops, so why provoke `em when there’s a chance they’re going to just let you off?

Fucking grow up. It’s a cops duty to do something if you’re breaking the law. He can either stop you and let you off with a warning if you choose to cooperate, or arrest you if you don’t. Maybe your situation was different, which many are, but I have a feeling that dude would have avoided any trouble if he would have kept his trap shut.
Maybe we should just get rid of all police since according to you everyone of them are assholes.
I agree that cops are assholes, but that kid’s got a big mouth and was a bigger asshole so he deserved what he got.
I know what you’re thinking — Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I’ve kinda lost track myself. But, that being a skateboard, most powerful weapon in the world and could snap your arm clean off (like a twig), you’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?”
Well I dont think anybody was right there. The cop went a little overboard but the kid was a dumbass, and its just not a good idea to argue with cops, if you really think you are in the right you can argue it later.
