Mj1A surfer who was out catching some morning surf in Del Mar, CA stumbled on a stash of more than 70 lbs of marijuana hidden under a tarp on a rocky outcropping. Rather that take the No Country for Old Men route he immediately called the sheriff.

Responding deputies recovered approximately 70 and one-half pounds of marijuana,” he said. “More marijuana was found in a trash can in the (beach) parking area.” . . . The origin of the pot, which was bundled in 1-kilogram packages and two large burlap sacks, was unknown, though several people reported seeing a small boat in the area about 3 a.m., the sergeant said.

More Officer Salvatore Rivieri Footage

by The Editors on February 19, 2008

More-Baltimore

It appears that roughing up skateboarders isn’t Baltimore Police officer Salvatore Rivieri’s only pleasure. An artist from Washington DC who was video taping people’s reactions to a moving box (on top of a remote control car) caused the same officer to lose his shit. When the artist heard the story about the skateboarder, he knew it was the same officer and he shared his video footage with ABC 2.

Officer Suspended For Harassing Skateboarder

by The Editors on February 12, 2008

We’d like to hear more stories like this one from the Baltimore Sun:

A Baltimore police officer was suspended Monday after a YouTube video surfaced on the Internet showing him berating and manhandling a teenage skateboarder at the Inner Harbor.

On the video, the officer, Salvatore Rivieri, puts the boy in a headlock, pushes him to the ground, questions his upbringing, threatens to “smack” him and repeatedly accuses the youngster of showing disrespect because the youth refers to the officer as “man” and “dude.”

Here it is in all it’s glory. A nice reminder to keep those cameras rolling no matter what. Guess this is what happens when a grown man is forced to patrol the city in an electric golf cart. Congrats, Officer Rivieri, you deserve all the trouble you’re getting, dude.

Bogus Basin Snowboard Theives

by The Editors on January 13, 2008

Two Boise, Idaho men, Robert Carl Befort, 26, and Jacob Jay Eller, 20, were arrested and charged in the thefts of two snowboards on Tuesday, Dec. 8th.

The men had reportedly taken two snowboards from Idaho’s Bogus Basin, however, the owners of the snowboards were able to give police a good description of the car and license plate. Meth makes kids do stupid things. Then again, maybe these boys at risk never had the Burton Chill experience.
