Pro-Tec Is Like 45 Years Old

Pro-Tec is celebrating 45 years in business this year with a return to San Diego an expanded helmet line, a new range of snow helmets, and a collaboration with Volcom.

Pro-Tec relocated from San Clemente to join Sector 9 Skateboard Co., another brand under the Bravo Sports Corp. Specialty Division, in the new San Diego headquarters. The move reflects the company’s commitment to its core market and marks a company promise to support and protect riders with proven and innovative products that professionals and beginners from around the world rely on every day.

Bam Margera Goes Back To Rehab

With all this news about Bam Margera having a baby, then getting arrested, and then getting shipped off to rehab with a little help from Element’s Johnny Scillereff, the datapoint that keeps tripping us up is this — it was Bam’s first DUI!

Marc McKee To The Nines

And when you check out some of the graphics he created during the 90s glory days of World Industries that can be a bit of a mind slip because his artwork stirred it up so hard. Karl Watson Writes A Children’s Book

It won’t arrive in time for Christmas, but Karl Watson’s new kids book (illustrated by Henry Jones) might be the perfect late January gift for they kids you know. Titled, My First Skateboard, the book tells the story of how skateboarding can change the world.

After 30 years of skateboarding in San Francisco and around the world professional skater, Karl Watson, wrote this children’s book in hopes of inspiring future generations to become skateboarders.

Altamont Welcomes Dakota Servold

Why build your own when you can collab? We never understood, but it’s nice to see that Volcom has realized that having good helmets with your logos on them is a great thing.
