Pro-Tec Is Like 45 Years Old

Pro-Tec is celebrating 45 years in business this year with a return to San Diego an expanded helmet line, a new range of snow helmets, and a collaboration with Volcom.

Pro-Tec relocated from San Clemente to join Sector 9 Skateboard Co., another brand under the Bravo Sports Corp. Specialty Division, in the new San Diego headquarters. The move reflects the company’s commitment to its core market and marks a company promise to support and protect riders with proven and innovative products that professionals and beginners from around the world rely on every day.

San Diego, CA (January 23, 2018) — Founded in 1973, Pro-Tec is celebrating 45 years as the original action sports protection brand. The occasion is marked by a return to San Diego with a new headquarters, an expanded helmet line, a new range of snow helmets, and a collaboration with Volcom.

Pro-Tec relocated from San Clemente to join Sector 9 Skateboard Co., another brand under the Bravo Sports Corp. Specialty Division, in the new San Diego headquarters. The move reflects the company’s commitment to its core market and marks a company promise to support and protect riders with proven and innovative products that professionals and beginners from around the world rely on every day.

The first announcements from the new office include Pro-Tec’s upcoming snow helmet line that will debut in the fall of 2018 as well as the collaboration with fellow Southern California brand Volcom, which will include Volcom X Pro-Tec skateboard, bike, and snow helmets. The range will incorporate an industry-first swirl injection mold for a one-of-a-kind look.

Volcom’s addition of bike and snow will position the brand in new categories and expand its reach and visibility in the world of action sports. The bike helmets are set to debut in summer 2018 and snow in winter 2018. The releases coincide with Pro-Tec’s signing of 13-year-old Brighton Zeuner, the youngest-ever X-Games winner.

Along with their current sales reps, John Crouch (Pacific Northwest) and Mike Girard (New England), Pro-Tec welcomes the following new snow specific sales reps to the their brand:
· Doug Coger: Southern California, Arizona and Southern Nevada.
· Andrew Walford and Ryan Hughes: Northern California and Northern Nevada.
· Steve Wikner: Midwest (Both Sides of the Lake)
· Davey Gonzales: Utah, Colorado, New Mexico
· Mark Neustadter: New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey
