Okay, when we saw Todd Richards’ tweet this morning we seriously thought he was joking, but it’s true. Snowboarder Louie Vito will be joining Donny Osmond, Michael Irving, Chuck Liddel, Aaron Carter, Kathy Ireland, and others on season nine of dancing with the stars.
Daredevil Louie Vito is among the U.S.’s elite snowboarders favored to make the 2010 Olympic team. Competing in both the Pipe and Slopestyle disciplines, Vito continues to train for the Grand Prix qualifying. . . The 21-year-old turned pro in 2006 and has competed in multiple Winter X-Games competitions. He is also a two-time winner of the USSA Grand Prix Halfpipe Series. His technical diversity and charismatic personality make him one of the most sought-after riders today.
Apparently, ABC (which is owned by Disney which owns ESPN and the X Games) wants to expand into that shred demo. We know Louie’s got sexy can moves, but this should be interesting.

I enjoyed reading the local observer enre dancing w/the stars. My husband and I went to school with jr’s grandfather. He certainly resembles him and looks as likable as his grandfather was. Louie kind of looked like a dancing pilgrim out there. But he is a natural at spinning!
