There’s just nothing like a $49.99 O’Neill Costco spring suit to keep that morning chill off the bones.

As opposed to what, Active? At least Costco pays its bills.
Quit trying to act superior
…cause you’re not!
What’s your point with this post? That’s a really good deal and O’Neill makes good wetsuits.
Who wears spring suits?
the point is if people buy their suits there then the real surf shops will be losing sales
Then maybe the “real” surf shops should lower their prices. Clothes and boards at surf shops are always overpriced anyways, time to face reality and realize that people are broke and can’t afford $60 for boardshorts and $200 for a wetsuit that’s going to fall apart in a year.
Sad reality is that what people used to know about surfing is no more. Your grandpa’s doing it, the asshole CEO’s doing it, and there’s nothing you can do about it except either continually bitch about it, travel to an extremely isolated break, surf crap waves that nobody wants, or try something else.
In the meantime, when I do need to buy something surf-related, I’m going to buy what’s most affordable, regardless of where it’s being sold. Crane, for once you posted something good here (funniest part is that you didn’t try). Congrats.
you guys are idiots. i will never buy from Costco. i hope your REALM surfboard is working out great bro!
you fools buy your boardshorts at Costco? wow. i can picture your surf kit now… as REALM surfboard, Oneill low end overlock blowout suit, elastic waistband tommy bahama trunks and aloha shirt, white zinka on the nose and Kungfu Panda dvd. right no bro! shaka!
How about this: the kid who has to beg his poor ass parents for a wetsuit finally gets to have one. He learns how to surf. Loves it. Then gets a job, can buy his own shit, and starts going to real surf shops.
OR:
Poor ass kid never is able to get a suit. Gets a baseball bat instead. Falls in love with baseball. never makes the high school team. Gets fat, has heart disease by the time he’s 50. Dies. makes our health insurance go up because there are 30 million more just like him.
Take your pick. one of the two is bound to happen.
The ALEX guy above is a duche. Big “O” can’t be considered ‘core’ anymore… Then again, who is?
What a bunch of hypocrits. As if any of you little cry babies don’t shop Costco for you food, tires, tv’s, etc… Where’s the support for small retailer’s there? I guess paying $100 more for tires at Jimmy’s, or $500 for a flat screen at Pacific Sales isn’t on the program…
You wouldn’t buy your wetsuit at Costco, but its perfectly ok for Volcom, Quik, RVCA and others to shelf at Nordstroms? And I guess its ok to keep sucking on PacSun’s tit while they increase their own labeled product.
Here’s an idea – let the companies make the product and sell it wherever they can sell it. That way kids might actually be able to afford to buy stuff once in a while and we all get to keep our jobs.
Yeah, I’m the douche because I understand reality while markfitzy (nice queer handle) thinks that “core” still exists in surfing. Keep wasting money on overpriced gear at the surfshop with shitty customer service markfitzy. You’re all the more wiser for it. And FYI I’ve never paid for a single surf item at Costco, but if they had something worthwhile I wouldn’t hesitate.
