by The Editors on June 13, 2019

MERGE4 has collaborated with Salman Agah on a new pair of socks that feature a collection of Pizzanista’s iconic logo boosts from all your favorite skate brands.

The Pizzanista! sock features . . .  combed cotton, a terry loped foot, self-adjusting welt cuff, reinforced heel and toe, and elastic arch support, this awesome y-heel sock is athletic ribbed for performance (or for tip-toeing to the fridge in the middle of a night for that cold slice you’ve been dreaming about). . . “I’m constantly looking for relevant ways to communicate Pizzanista’s brand and teaming up with MERGE4 was a great way for us to do that,” said Agah, “Now everybody’s feet can also be ‘powered by Pizzanista!’”

MERGE4 has formed a killer collaboration with Pizzanista! – a Los Angeles-based pizza purveyor catering to the skate community and serving up “anything goes” style pizza. Pizzanista! has pulled from their rich archives and partnered with MERGE4 to create a high quality sock highlighting iconic skate culture imagery.

The Pizzanista! sock features skateboarding-inspired graphic parodies on a classic crew sock. With combed cotton, a terry loped foot, self-adjusting welt cuff, reinforced heel and toe, and elastic arch support, this awesome y-heel sock is athletic ribbed for performance (or for tip-toeing to the fridge in the middle of a night for that cold slice you’ve been dreaming about).

Pizzanista! describes itself as “seditiously delicious”, dishing out unconventional pizza creations on East Coast-style thin crust. The brand was founded in 2011 by legendary skateboarder and radically innovative athlete, Salman Agah. Discovered at the age of 16 by Stacy Peralta in the late 80’s, Agah blew minds as an amateur with Powell Peralta from 1989 to 1990 and went on to further his skateboarding career with Real Skateboards from 1990 to 1994, and with The Firm from 1995 to 2000. Renowned for his switch stance skating, Agah was thoroughly modern in every way, recognized as Thrasher Magazine’s Skater of the Year in 1993, Transworld Skateboarding’s Most Influential Skater of the Decade in the 1990’s and Big Brother Magazine’s Most Beautiful Skater.

Agah and the Pizzanista! team continue to innovate, and the collaboration with MERGE4 makes perfect sense for a company dedicated to celebrating innovators in action sports, music and the arts – including the culinary arts.

“I’m constantly looking for relevant ways to communicate Pizzanista’s brand and teaming up with MERGE4 was a great way for us to do that,” said Agah, “Now everybody’s feet can also be ‘powered by Pizzanista!’”.
