Nikita’s G.W.R. Snowboard Event Series kicks off this Saturday (December 16, 2017) at Alberta Canada’s Sunshine Village.
G.W.R. (Girls Who Ride) by Nikita is an open-invite day for girls who ride to get together, snowboard on custom features designed by Abby Furrer of Rude Girls in collaboration with Sunshine Village, and an afternoon open jam contest where prizes will be handed out for girls who land their best tricks. . . G.W.R. by Nikita is a fully girls-driven snowboarding event, from start to finish. From the park design and conception, to the morning and afternoon sessions, to the judging of the riders- everything will be lead by girls, for girls.

G.W.R. by Nikita Clothing with Rude Girls Goes Down at Sunshine Village
Santa Ana, CA, Dec 11th, 2017– Nikita, in conjunction with Rude Girls Snow and Skate are set to host the global premiere of the G.W.R. snowboarding event series at Sunshine Village on December 16th, 2017 in Banff, Alberta, Canada. Sunshine Village’s park crew has been working through the nights to build a custom park for the event, and fresh snow that’s fallen in the past week has added to the quality of the course for the coming event.

Nikita will bring together our top teamriders from across North America to participate in the event. Taylor Elliot, Summer Fenton and Ari Morrone will all travel to Sunshine Village to kick off the event.
Says Nikita’s Jenna Kuklinski of the G.W.R. event series, “We want to bring something to girls that is 100% for them, by them- from beginning to end. This event is one-of-a-kind and truly embodies what Nikita is all about. It’s welcoming, it’s fun, and it’s not going to mess around. From the people shooting photos for the event to creation of the custom park- top to bottom, we have made this for girls who ride.”
Nikita connected with Sunshine Village through Rude Girls to host the event. Sunshine Village is a premier destination in Banff, and has world-class terrain and a park crew that was able to make the kick-off event the best it can be. After this initial G.W.R. event, Nikita will tour across North America and into Europe, bringing the same 100% for girls by girls snow event to other top-tier locations.
Girls can sign up for the snowboarding event at Rude Girls Snow and Skate any time between now and before the event date December 16th. Helmets and signing a liability waiver with Sunshine Village will be required.
