Mountain High Opens Dec. 6, 2017

Hey, SoCal, just a little reminder that Mountain High is opening tomorrow (Wednesday, December 6, 2017). If you’re up for skipping school (or work) tomorrow might be the day.

Top-to-bottom terrain features and trails for beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders will be available the moment the lifts start spinning. Mountain High has nearly three times the water available for snowmaking this year which means better coverage, more terrain features and longer seasons. . . “We are absolutely stoked about the new season,” said John McColly, Mountain High chief marketing officer. “It’s expected to be a great one with new features in our terrain park, new online ticket products, and tons of water for snowmaking. This winter will be packed with fun events, not to mention the Olympics, so grab your season passes now. We don’t want you to miss a moment of this epic season.”

Wrightwood, Calif. – Dec. 4, 2017 – Mountain High, Southern California’s closest winter resort, is set to open Wednesday, December 6 for the 2017-18 season. Skiers and snowboarders can hit the slopes at the West Resort from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the first 100 guests receive a free pair of Andorra gloves (valued at $50).

Mountain High has nearly three times the water available for snowmaking this year which means better coverage, more terrain features and longer seasons.

Early season tickets are just $49 for adults, $29 for nights from 5pm to 10pm, and $25 for children 12-and-under. Children age six-and-under ski free when accompanied by a paying adult. Seniors 70+ are free every day. Early season ticket prices are subject to change without notice. Mountain High season passes are still available for purchase, so click here for the latest pricing.

All amenities except lessons will be available at Mountain High on opening day. These include rentals, retail, repair, guest services and more.

The Big Pines base lodge, located at the West Resort, will be open daily starting at 8:00 a.m. Hot coffee along with grab and go food will be available for purchase at the Big Pines base lodge. The Foggy Goggle, the West Resort’s slope-side bar and barbecue, will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with warm snacks and spirits. Mountain High’s famous Bullwheel Grill will also be available to enjoy beginning December 16.

The first 100 guests to Mountain High on opening day receive a free pair of gloves from Andorra Gear. Riders will need to follow Andorra Gloves on Instagram @andorragear and present their phone showing proof to the Andorra Gear tent along with a valid Mountain High lift ticket or season pass to receive a complimentary pair of gloves.
