Andy Jenkins Braves The Element

Former Master Cluster member Andy Jenkins has been named Global Art Director of Element Skateboards. In otherwords, he just got a great new job at Billabong.

Global General Manager, David Brooks says “Andy is another fantastic addition to the Element family who delivers on our strategy to elevate art and our creative output, while attracting and managing relationships with some of the world’s best artists.”

Andy Jenkins Will Lead Visual Communications For The Brand Globally

Irvine, CA (October 3, 2017) – Element Skateboards today announces Andy Jenkins has joined company as Global Art Director. Following the recent addition of Video Director Jon Miner, Andy represents another key hire in Element’s strategy to elevate art and creative, lead from the USA, and exported globally.

Started in 1992 by founder Johnny Schillereff, Element is currently celebrating its 25-year anniversary.

Andy is an influential figure in the skateboarding industry, having spent his past 20-plus years with the Girl Skateboard Company. Andy built the creative department at Girl, which included making art and overseeing art direction for Girl Skateboards, Chocolate Skateboards, Royal Trucks, Fourstar Clothing and Lakai Footwear. He has provided leadership to notable artists and worked alongside many of skateboarding’s top creatives such as Spike Jonze, Evan Hecox, Michael Leon, Kevin Lyons, Geoff McFetridge and many more.

Andy will lead visual communications for the brand, both creating art and leading the global and regional art departments. His work for Element will span product and marketing including designing skateboards, t-shirts and other graphic-based product, designing marketing campaigns, advertising, digital imagery, and retail collateral.
