Tomorrow, (Saturday December 6, 2014) Chicago’s Grant Park Skate Park will be hosting a grand opening beginning at 11 AM. There will be contests, giveaways, local DJs and much much more.
“People really want to use it. It’s really motivating to have park space that’s going to be used by people from all over the city and suburbs,” said Bob O’Neill, president of the Grant Park Conservancy. “I think the only people more excited than me are the skateboarders and BMXers. They’ve really been anticipating this.”
It’s going to be cool and breezy, but no rain in the forecast. To get to the park enter at Roosevelt Road. The park is located just east of the Agora Sculpture. For more info follow the jump.
