Red Mountain Shreds The Love With B4BC

ShredtheloveOn Saturday, March 8, 2014 BC, Canada’s Red Mountain will host B4BC’s Shred The Love, presented by The North Face.

RED Mountain Resort will donate 50 percent of its day ticket revenue to help raise funds for several of B4BC’s initiatives, including scholarships through the Survivorship Fund to ReTreat Yourself, a yoga, ski and snowboard retreat for women who have been affected by breast cancer. Activities at RED that day will include ski and snowboard demos as well as breast cancer screening information booths. Top skiers and snowboarders including Megan Pischke, Kendra Starr and Kasha Rigby will be in attendance. The day will end with an après-ski party at Rafters bar with national recording artist Pickwick, whose recent hit song “Hacienda Motel” has been on the top of critics’ song lists over the last year.

Women’s ski and ride benefit set for March 8, 2014 with a special performance by Seattle-based band Pickwick
Rossland, BC, February 25, 2014 – RED Mountain and Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) are pleased to announce the return of Shred the Love, a ski and snowboard benefit event at RED Mountain, presented by The North Face.

The event is an inclusive ski and ride day where RED Mountain Resort will donate 50 percent of its day ticket revenue to help raise funds for several of B4BC’s initiatives, including scholarships through the Survivorship Fund to ReTreat Yourself, a yoga, ski and snowboard retreat for women who have been affected by breast cancer. Activities at RED that day will include ski and snowboard demos as well as breast cancer screening information booths. Top skiers and snowboarders including Megan Pischke, Kendra Starr and Kasha Rigby will be in attendance. Shred the Love is open to all who want to help raise funds for a great cause by skiing at RED that day. The event will also include raffles of top ski and snowboard gear and drink specials in the bar that will help raise funds for B4BC. Boarding for Breast Cancer will spend a percentage of the funds in the Rossland/Trail community, where they were raised. With its second year in the making, RED continues to make Shred the Love an annual event.

Shred the Love is one of two Women’s events being held at RED Mountain Resort from March 7 through 10, 2014. RED will also host the second annual RED Mountain ReTreat Yourself wellness experience for ten breast cancer survivors.
