Portland, ME (May 23, 2013) – Global sports and entertainment marketing leader Octagon has signed one of surfing’s top young talents, Sebastian Zietz to a full representation agreement. Widely regarded as one of the most exciting young surfers on the ASP World Tour, “Seabass” captured the 2012 Triple Crown of Surfing championship, 2012 Qualifying Tour championship and was a semifinalist in the 2012 Pipeline Masters.

“Seabass is one of the top young surfers in the sport who carries movie-star charisma that is fresh and appealing to fans and sponsors,” said Amen Teter, Octagon’s Action Sports Director. “The sky is the limit for Seabass. He has the talent to compete and win big events on the ASP World Tour and a personality to match. We are excited about the opportunities to expand his profile.”

Seabass completed a strong 2012 campaign where he won the Triple Crown of Surfing, Reef Hawaiian Pro, Qualifying Tour and secured a Pipeline Masters semifinal result, all helping him qualify for the 2013 ASP World Tour. His future endeavors include every stop on the ASP World Tour, plus a number of Prime Events.

Seabass, who is sponsored by Oakley, Future Fins and Dakine, possesses energy in and out of the water. He has become a social media sensation, showcasing not only his exciting surf clips, but his “dance offs” as well, demonstrating his care-free personality. He was filmed touring the world for Innersection in 2011, and his surf-and-dance act was featured in the 2008 movie The Pursuit. Seabass is currently filming with Oakley for a web series about him while continuing to transcend the sport. The charismatic Fort Pierce, Florida native is a powerful and stylish surfer who is following in the footsteps of his family pedigree. His older brothers Josh, Max and Billy are legends on the Island of Kauai, and his father Paul was a hardcore Texas surfer. All of them played a part in showing Seabass the ropes as he began surfing at the age of six, turning professional at 16 and signaling his arrival in 2007 when he won the Goofy vs. Regular event. In 2008, the surfing world began to take notice as Seabass won the Oakley Pro Junior Trifecta, Macy’s Trifecta Pro Junior and the Oakley Pro Junior Trestles.
