Bear Mountain will kick off the 2012-13 SoCal winter season the same way they have from the past eight years–with a huge party, fresh snow, and monstrous rails, walls, and other features. The 9th Annual Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails goes down September 22, 2012 beginning at 2 PM.
Watch 40 top snowboarders with raw talent battle it out for $15,000 cash on 130 tons of man made snow at this ultimate park showdown. This unique, summertime snowboarding competition will feature some of the best professional jobbers in North America to compete on new urban-style park features that will be available for the public to ride in the RedBull Plaza at Bear Mountain this winter.

Winter kick-off parties don’t get any better than this!
(Big Bear Lake, CA – September 6, 2012) – This year’s 9th annual Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails, presented by Red Bull, is set to take place at Bear Mountain on Saturday, September 22ndstarting at 2 p.m. Watch 40 top snowboarders with raw talent battle it out for $15,000 cash on 130 tons of man made snow at this ultimate park showdown. This unique, summertime snowboarding competition will feature some of the best professional jobbers in North America to compete on new urban-style park features that will be available for the public to ride in the RedBull Plaza at Bear Mountain this winter.
Professional snowboarder and Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails Judge Chris Bradshaw comments on the rider lineup, “This is the most stacked list I’ve seen in a while; these riders are going to get competitive to win that cash.” Bradshaw continues, “This is going to be a huge event as far as tricks and progression – it’ll be a hard one to judge but really fun to watch.” Other Judges will include Bear Pro Team Riders: Joe Sexton, JP Walker and Scott Stevens. Some exciting competitors include [spoiler alert] Scott Vine, Zak Hale, Brandon Hobush and Dylan Alito.
This winter kick-off party will feature music from live artists and DJs. Guests can walk away with tons of giveaways from Vendor Booth City. Watch the competition from the SoCal inspired ‘Scene’ at Bear Mountain where there will be a BBQ, hot dog eating contest and full bar for those who are 21 and older.
