Portland, OR (January 23, 2012): Bonfire Snowboarding and Salomon Snowboards is pleased to announce the internal promotions of Amy Eichner and Kevin Stevenson. Amy will transition to the position of Product Line Manager of Bonfire, and Kevin Stevenson to Marketing Manager of both Bonfire and Salomon.

As Product Line Manager, Amy will head Bonfire’s product creation process, increasing the performance, efficiency and expertise of Bonfire’s industry leading apparel. In her new role Amy will be charged with bringing products to the market that speak directly to Bonfire’s brand values as an authentic rider-driven company.

Marketing Manager Kevin Stevenson will expand his current marketing role in Salomon and will now be responsible for managing all elements of the marketing concept, plan, and strategy, from graphic design to brand identity—ensuring our story of rider driven, innovative and quality product is heard loud and clear.

Brad Steward, Head of Action Sports at Amer commented on both of the appointments, “Amy and Kevin make this all so easy. Great riders, great concept and idea people—I now have the dream team, 2-headed monster, sonic fist of doom, to unleash on marketing and communication.”

Amy is no stranger to the snowboard scene—her legacy at Bonfire began after a long-standing career as an X Games podium athlete and pioneer of women’s snowboarding. For the past eight years, Amy has served as Global Marketing Manager for Bonfire and Salomon, where she created the brand tools for our sales organizations throughout the world.

Said Eichner, “I know I can kill it in this new role, I get to make stuff for people to have fun in—which is part of why I love coming to work every day. Get ready to see better Bonfire products, that are awesome for riding and wearing everywhere you go.”

For the past three years, Kevin has served in a multi-tiered marketing role specific to Salomon efforts, where he focused on bridging the gap between product and consumer marketing. Kevin will continue to bring his influence as a core skateboarder and snowboarder to the brands and is determined to reinforce Bonfire and Salomon’s mission to critically damage preconceived notions of what riding gear can be.

Said Stevenson of his new role, “It’s been a good three years at Salomon, and I’m thinking I’ve got it pretty damn good. Super rad Salomon product team in France, and Bonfire pretty much started the snowboard clothing business, which doesn’t suck at all. If you like snowboarding… and I do…this is as good as it gets.”

Amy and Kevin have played intricate roles in executing the marketing plan and strategy, identity, and personality of the brands, and will continue to push Bonfire and Salomon to new heights in their next roles.
