Travel the world, collect them all:
Maven (Burlington, VT)
Drawing inspiration from military matches, Maven created a patch design that incorporates a vintage military look with a 60s rebellion vibe. The new artwork complements their first design from last year’s project, which was vintage motorcycle inspired. For Maven, the bird has become an icon and this particular patch design is a reworking of its logo.
TRUE (San Francisco, CA)
TRUE wanted to create a unique patch design that was representative of its home city, San Francisco. In the patch design, you can see elements such as the “SF” which represents San Francisco, and a single star that represents California.
Benny Gold (San Francisco, CA)
Benny Gold’s patch artwork complements the classic backpack theme of education. Basing the design on traditional university emblems, Benny Gold incorporated one of their brands well known sayings “Knowledge is Golden” into the patch artwork. There is also a hidden message in Latin integrated in the collegiate-inspired design.
KCDC (Brooklyn, NY)
The patch design for KCDC was inspired by their new store logo. Simple and to the point, the artwork is representative of the skate shop.
Complex (Vancouver, BC)
Complex created unique embroidered patches, a clever flip on typical touristy travel patches, combined with some of their favorite notable golden era rap quotes. Backpacks have always played a part in hip hop culture and Complex wanted to integrate the quotes in their patch design. “Got my man’s back like a JanSport knapsack!”
Off The Hook (Montreal, QC)
The patch artwork for Off The Hook is nostalgic and reminiscent of Montreal’s ’67 Expo emblems. Beyond representing the shop itself, these emblems represent Montreal’s iconic culture, heritage and a feeling of homecoming.
Group 7 (Calgary, AB)
The inspiration behind Group 7s patch design was solely based on their shop. The logo, size and positioning maintains traditional branding, while incorporating the clean and classic appeal of the store.
Loop (Uptown Waterloo, ON)
Loop introduces their unique Canadian heritage to the iconic silhouette that is the JanSport Right Pack. Their patch design was inspired by a classic Canada Post letter mailing stamp used in the early 1930’s. It was designed and crafted for people who appreciate the stamp of an individual rather than a production line.
Street Machine (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Skateboarders are constantly scouting the city for new possibilities. Street Machine created a scout style badge inspired by a manhole cover to imbue a city feel. The badge features the Copenhagen skyline taken from one of the Street Machine deck graphics and a wreath representing the shop’s location on Kronprinsensgade (translation: The Crown Prince’s Street).
The JanSport Right Pack Signature Series packs will be available exclusively at select boutique retailers beginning November 15, 2011. For more information, visit www.jansport.com/rightpacksignature.
