Apple has always used surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding to show off their latest products and sometimes we like to think that it was because if Steve Jobs wasn’t so busy changing the world, he would have spent a little more time doing one or two of the things we all love.
It would take days to list all the ways Steve Jobs has directly and indirectly influenced the way we as an industry do everything, from art, to photography, to video, and product design. We’d just like to say, thank you for everything. Thanks for changing the world. We couldn’t have done it without you. Seriously.

I just want to say Mr.Jobs if weren’t for you and apple I and my family would never have known the computer world. Mr. Jobs you and my aunt kathy were born in the same year and because of you she became a graphic designer the first in my family. She introduces use and many other people to apple computers because of you. And she and you changed the course of my life forever. You see I thought at first I was going to be a visual artist and nothing more but see took me to see a film in 1973 called 2001 and it opened my eyes to a world of imagenation I couldn’t belive possible at that time.
Oh I had drawn comic books most of my childhood but that was to escape the pain in my life but computers didn’t know a thing about them too techical for me. Any Kathy was the first in my family to go to college and get a BA in fine arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore Maryland. And from worked every dead end little graphic design shop until she landed a job with J Walter Thompson in New York. Befor she left Baltimore she began working an old Macintosh 2 computer because no one in her office wanted to touch it. She even learned how to take apart and put it back together again and install other programs into via floppy disc. She like you was fearless in her determination to learn and teach any olne who listen to her about this Aomputer platform because she heard about you and the work you were doing there at Apple. When you were fired from the company I had just moved to New Jersey to start
start my liife by working in New York with my aunt at the company she worked for.
I wanted to be a filmmaker and had dropped out college to got work and try to by some film equiptment to try and make some movies all super 8 and not very good but i didn’t give up. Anyway about that time we heard you were rehired at Apple computers and she got excited because our old B&W apple 2 had just died at job.
Suddenly we walked into work and there befor us sat the Imac generation 1. We couldn’t belive our eyes and it was in color our graphics work look ten time better then any thing done in black and white. I said that day if they every start using these things to make movie any thing could be possible sure enough Lucas came out with the Edit Droid and the world changed over night. Then two year later you came out with Adobe Primere and later I Movie 1 and the world I thought I’ed never live long enough to see fell at my feat now I’m a digital film maker. My aunt like you
suffers from a very strange illness and has spent most of this sommer in and out the hospital battling her illness. The name of her illness is NUROSARCODOISE and it affects her brain and her spine. She fell ill while working New York in 2001 just befor the attack she was let go from her job and had to go on state aid to survive.
I became her care provider over these past 11 year but she still trys to regain her strength so she can walk again and reclaim her life as a graphic designer but no will hire her from home. She needs a new lab top but on our limited income thats hard to do right now but like Mr.jobs she and i will keep fighting to the end because we can change this world for the better can’t we.
Your bright light may have left the world momentarly but I want all Mac people to know because of what you started in all of us you’ve touch your light is going to return to the billions of time bright in the ideals you given all of use to create with your tools. And I know for sure MAC PEOPLE if STEVE JOBS were standing here to day he say to all of us go make the world you own…….Thank you Steve God bless
