The Hurley Pro at Trestles isn’t getting the best waves and we’re kind of missing the surf we saw in New York (never thought we’d say that), but it’s not all bad. Today (September 19, 2011) Round 2 is set to get underway with Round 3 on hold for a possible afternoon start. We’re just hoping the waves hold up.

Stop No. 7 of 11 on the ASP World Title Series, the Hurley Pro at Trestles saw the world’s best surfers put in some impressive performances despite smaller conditions in Round 1 and with a new swell showing signs of life, there should be no shortage of action in Round 2 today.
“We’re going to capitalize on the swell on offer this morning and continue with Round 2 starting at 8:30,” Richie Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “Round 3 is on standby and we’ll potentially push on later this afternoon.”
