Buoloco.com gets the word on “editorial creation” from Burton’s Evan Rose. If anyone has the inside line on how to make sure their brand gets coverage it is Burton. Not because the system is flawed (it is), but because Burton has been getting “coverage” and doing it right since the beginning. Like it or not.

Where’s my boot shits getting deep.
Burton is the devil on snow. They “buy” everything…just look at all the mags…oh wait, nobody looks at or reads mags anymore anyway. Truth hurts and snowboarding is in sad shape nowadays. Bring back snowboarding.
Evan Rose is snowboarding.
“Whaaa whaaa, booo hooo, Burton and Nike are big bullies and I can’t get a picture of my snowboard company on websites and in magazines!” 🙁
They get pictures and editorial because they great riders, out there doing cool shit, and they’re taking pictures and filming it more than you are. In the 1990’s when I started Ride snowboards, Burton was doing the same thing – I didn’t whine to the media about them being corrupt, I got some kick ass riders that we’re doing cool shit, I took pictures of it and filmed it and we got coverage – a shit load of it and we didn’t have to pay off anyone.
So no whining – If you don’t know how to kick the bullies’ asses – find a new playground (industry), or call me – and I’ll help you…
I got a free subscription to Transworld Snow and after seeing the first few issues I remember why I never look at the magazine. It sucks!!! Sad truth. The editorial is bland, the stories are fucking boring and the photos are the same shit I have seen for years. Fire em all!!!
Do they still publish magazines anymore?
