The DC Mountain Lab in Glenwild, Utah’s The Ranches at The Preserve is up for sale, according to a story in the Park Record. It seems Ken Block is ready to move on and is only asking $6.9 million for the historic shred palace.
The DC Mountain Lab has been the cause of some arguments over the years, so to make peace Block agreed to remove man-made obstacles such as jumps and rails. . . Realtor Paul Benson is courting buyers with the remaining rope tow serving 10 runs. There is also a four-bedroom, 3,800-square-foot guest house and a building pad for a larger home.
That means all the rails, jumps, and features are gone, but still a private resort on 22 acres just a short 15 minute drive from Park City? Sounds like something Shaun White should look into. . . but he shouldn’t expect the homeowners association to welcome him.

If this historic shred haven is sold within the action sports family, I’d likely bet that the Skullcandy crew would be the next tenants…although the house may be a little small for them.
What happened to the days when snowboarders would just say “fuck you” and build more jumps and features? Have we all gotten that soft? If you’ve got 22 acres to yourself, who the fuck else cares what you do with it? The first person that buys it should just try to one up burning man and see how the homeowners association feels about it. RIP DCML…
I agree with punk rock. You try to tell me I can’t make a massive kicker on my property you’ll get a flip of the bird while I finish my beer and line up a cat to make it bigger.
I concur with them web warriors. This is like the skihill version of being made to go sleep on the couch when you own the bed/couch/house.
I would do the same… fuck hoa… I went there a couple years ago and shit was fun as shit!!!
