A skateboarder in Christchurch, New Zealand landed in the hospital after crashing today (September 30, 2010) while towing behind a car, according to a story in the Otago Daily Times.
The male skater suffered a concussion, but his injuries were not thought to be serious, an ambulance spokesman said.
The skateboarding towing carnage continues as does irresponsible advertising published in skateboard magazines thanks to companies like FMS Shoes (above).

It’s his own fault for making the decision to do that. Skating itself has many dangerous tricks and they’re all pictured in magazines. You’re seriously going to say they aren’t as bad as this? It’s an extreme sport, why the fk do you have this site if you don’t like it? Hack.
To the above comment. You have a serious brain abnormality if you compare picturing a kid towing behind a taxi and performing a dangerous trick in a magazine. Show me how many kids die skating as compared to towing behind cars. To advertise this and not expect any kind of backlash is not only irresponsible but laughably lame in the utmost level of ignorance. This is the problem with skateboarding these days. The manufacturers who can’t see past their own self righteousness to know when they might be wrong. “It’s an extreme sport??” I’m sorry but how is towing behind cars in traffic in any way shape or form an extreme sport? You want to do that? Fine. But to advertise it where literally millions of impressionable kids might get the “bright idea” to copy this is not only irresponsible, it is moronic. I might suggest you pull your head out of your ass long enough to be able to see this.
