Skater Forces Littering Tourists To Pack It

by The Editors on August 21, 2008

Boystopsbus 232 210808After a bus load of tourists completely littered up the skatepark in Queenstown, New Zealand 13-year-old Hori Mains would not let that aggression stand.

As the bus tried to pull away, he walked out in front of the bus, held up his hand Tiananman Square style and told the bus driver to have the people pack their trash.

Hori believes he clearly annoyed the tourists but is proud of his actions and hopes they will now think twice about being litter bugs. . . . “Everyone knows not to put it on the ground, just put it in the bin … easy,” says Hori.

Hori is Boardistan’s skate citizen of the month.
