The Fresno Bee reports in that hometown snowboard hero Andy Finch doesn’t care that he’s not going to make the 2010 US Olympics Team. He’s not going to do any double corks.
“All these other guys are trying to do them, and about half of them are getting broke off,” Finch says. “But some of the guys are learning them. I don’t think Shaun expected everyone to catch up so quick, actually.” . . .”I’ve had a long career, man,” he says. “It’s not really worth it for me to take that kind of risk right now.”
And we can’t really disagree with the man.

damn straight!
I pioneered that thought…….why die riding pipe? Go home, eat food, get luvin’ and play Nintendo Wii sounds way more satisfying than a ‘double cork’……
Finch and Michalchuck pioneered the twirly bird years back and were ridiculed to no end for it. Now it’s in vogue. Go figure.
Finch is the man! Absolutely love his riding. Anyone who can fly 10 feet above the rest is f’ing killing it in my book! And props to Michalchuck for being such a badass Canadian.
Don’t really remember Michalchuk being ridiculed… i just remember saying holy shit
