Maybe Shop-eat-sleep should do a follow up on their Source Interlink story:

“Al said Source Interlink’s bankruptcy is actually allowing the company to make more investment in the magazines. Because the company’s debt was lowered during the bankruptcy process, it has more money to invest in the business.

“The (bankruptcy) reorganization turned out to be a good thing,” he said”

Al got clipped because the the company felt like it needed to go in a different direction. They have brought in John Cobb formerley VP of digital for the source group to run the group. Sounds like they are headed in the right direction to me?

There’s nothing wrong with changing it up every now and then. There’s some great, genuine people over there. That’s the real nuts & bolts of the machine.

The “wing nuts” were bound to get stripped sooner or later…
