Nemo HQ Factory Tour With Trevor Graves

by The Editors on December 1, 2009

Last summer while in Portland we had the opportunity to take a tour of Nemo’s Portland, Oregon headquarters with agency founder Trevor Graves. Having known Trevor for a long, long time, mostly as a snowboard photographer, we were blown away by how smooth, professional, and polished Trevor and Nemo have become.
Not that we didn’t expect as much. Nemo is Portland’s design agency on the up. The group currently creates advertising design and branding for Nike 6.0, Smith Optics, and they’ve worked with a long list of national brands. The offices are large, clean, cool, and populated with good people doing great work.

The day we visited, Trevor had an important meeting at Nike and we kept feeling like we were in the way. But without even having a watch he said there was really no problem. He even asked if we had time to get lunch at his favorite Thai Restaurant up the street.

Three-quarters of the way through lunch Trevor looked down at his iPhone and said, “Hate to eat and run, but my car is here.” We looked over his shoulder to see his ride waiting in the drive. Trevor, calm and collected, walked out of the restaurant, got in on the passenger side and rolled off to a meeting with the largest footwear company in the world. We were inspired. Don Draper would have been proud.
