Forum’s The Peter Line Softgoods

by The Editors on October 17, 2011

Thepeterline

Forum Snowboards is happy to announce the exclusive Peter Line softgoods collection called The Peter Line featuring a fisherman-style beaning, a kitty titty t-shirt, and a jacket (surprisingly not called a “jack-it”).

“My line of clothes was pretty much inspired by punk rock, boobs and kittens. It’s easy to see this in the PL jacket, but you probably don’t know that the beanie I designed doubles as boob warmers and can be used as an old fashion slingshot for kittens, a handheld cat-a-pult if you will.”

The Peter Line is available in shops everywhere.

Burton x Carhartt For 2012

by The Editors on October 10, 2011

Burtonxcarhartt

Snow shreds can continue to look like Vermont pig farmers, Sierra chain monkeys, or resort lift maintenance crew with the launch of Burton’s new, updated Carhartt collection.

The Burton x Carhartt WIP jacket is based off of one of Carhartt’s most popular and rugged designs, aptly called the Traditional. For this project, the special co-branded edition is constructed from a double layer GORE-TEX® Performance Oxford shell featuring fully taped seams protected by 13 mm GORE-SEAM® tape. . . The Burton x Carhartt WIP pant is modelled after Carhartt’s classic Single Knee pant, also slightly modified by the collective design team for a better snowboard meets streetwear fit. Fabrication on the pant is also second to none, featuring the double layer GORE-TEX® Performance Oxford shell and GORE-TEX® taped seams.

People who work in Carhartt everyday are probably going to be more stoked on this than anyone else. The sets come in Brown or Black and are available today in select retail outlets. Follow the jump for the official word. (We’d link you directly to the product, but Burton’s website is impossible to navigate). [click to continue…]

New Shaun Wipe Xtreme Bathroom Tissue

by The Editors on October 6, 2011

Shaun Wipe Xtreme3With all the coverage today regarding Shaun White Supply Co. and it’s soon-to-launch signature line of China crap we were surprised that no one mentioned the one new Shaun product that is made here in America: toilet paper.

Shaun White may wipe his ass with crisp hundred dollar bills, but it’s comforting to know that he understands that the other 99 percent of us don’t. That’s apparently why he’s reportedly releasing his new triple-ply line of Shaun Wipe Xtreme bathroom tissue.

Rumor has it that he will roll out (and demonstrate) his new personal hygiene product immediately prior to his vert run in the Caffeinated High Fructose Corn Syrup Championships presented by Go Kill Elephants Daddy in Las Vegas the weekend of October 13-16, 2011. And seriously, we can’t wait to watch him wipe out the competition.

Broken Skateboards Into Jewelry

by The Editors on September 20, 2011

2Mo4Pvuv7Icn3Ash8Ef76Im2I9Gq6RuDeKalb, Illinois’ Smalltown Skates shop owner Ariel Ries didn’t know what to do with all the broken skateboards that were piling up around her shop, according to a story in the Daily Chronicle. That’s when she says she thought of making jewelry out of it.

“I was really interested in the multicolored plies,” she said. “I thought, why am I not using this material?” Ries studied jewelry-making at Kishwaukee College, but there she used only metal materials. She started working with the wood from skateboard decks in April and has since accumulated about 200 pieces of jewelry. She said she’s spent at least 2,000 hours making jewelry since she started.

Sounds like it might be time to hire some third world laborers. . .

Skatecase: It’s A Skateboard Briefcase

by The Editors on September 16, 2011

Tired of having to carry your skateboard and your briefcase into business meetings? It would appear that former University of South Florida astro physics student Alexi Novitzky has the solution. According to a story on ABC Action News it’s called “The Skatecase.”

“You open this one up and you look inside,” he said showing us the Skatecase. It’s half skateboard and half briefcase. “You can fit two composition books deep in there as well as many pencils.”

Novitzky obviously needs to get together with Valet My Skate inventor Tom Piszkin for a skatecase lock. You can’t just leave those things lying around.
