As we’ve discovered over the past decade, creating a video demo of a tech product is much easier that creating a tech product. Over the years we’ve seen some amazingly cool technology that hoped to be transformative. Then nothing went to market. We know nothing about Alon Getz or his company Ride On, but from the looks of this video he and his team are at least dreaming in the right direction. To snowboarders of a certain age Wu-Tang is the coolest thing ever. We’re not sure exactly what that age is anymore, but we’re guessing Bern helmets knows because they’ve just launched a Watt Wu-Tang limited edition helmet.
The EPS/Thin Shell model is a certified helmet for both bike and snow. This model uses a thin ABS shell lined with EPS Foam to create a burly lightweight lid. A certified helmet is designed to crack and absorb a gnarly impact, much like you may encounter should you take a hard spill on the hill or riding your bike. Depending on the season your helmet will come with either an EPS Summer Comfort Liner or an EPS Winter Liner and you can buy the alternating season’s liner based on your needs to keep up with you through the seasons.
Aside from all that what is so special about this helmet? Well, it’s got a big yellow Wu-Tang Clan dragon logo on the side of it, that’s what. And apparently that is enough. But we wonder: would a Taylor Swift helmet sell more? And if any musician deserves a signature helmet shouldn’t it be Helmet? We’d definitely strap it on!

Mervin Manufacturing co-founder Mike Olson is the mad scientist (click here to watch the video) who is almost singled handedly responsible for every major advancement in ski and snowboard construction and design over the past 30 years.
