. . . a young pro surfer that not only shapes his own equipment, but questions and pushes design to new, truly unique places. Often seen anywhere from Cardiff to Bali riding anything from homemade 9’6″ logs to a 4′ block of foam, take in the intricacies surrounding Burch’s love of board design and reeling point breaks over a pot of jet black java.

Our experience with SN2 reactions is why we’re typing this and not gluing in your latest piece of dental work. But luckily for us, the crew at Chemistry Surfboards has more than made up for our lack of knowledge with this little Chemistry Experience.
The Chemistry Experience is a quick journey into what we are and who we are by highlighting our various signature products and the many faces who use them. We continue our pursuit to provide like minded people the products needed to uphold the lifestyle. The look and feel may be the same but the “Experience” is always different. . . Skullcandy founder Rick Alden explains the Alta situation quite succinctly in this edit. But here’s a little more:
Wasatch Equality began as a grassroots movement of individuals, families, and businesses committed to ending the anti-snowboarding policies at Alta Ski Area that have defined the resort since the early 1980’s. Long after the rest of the winter community has come to recognize snowboarding, it’s hard to believe there’s still an argument being made against the sport. . . By convincing Utah’s hold-out resorts to open their lifts to everyone, friends and families will be able to exercise their legal right to enjoy public land, regardless of how they choose to get downhill.

Our favorite Wall Street Journal reporter, skater Conor Dougherty, is about to become our favorite San Francisco, California based New York Times reporter (congrats, Conor). But before he switched gigs, he wanted to do one more story for his former employer. Did he investigate the fading housing crisis? Or, sneak onto a Google Bus? No, he tested a slew of electric skateboards and even found one he liked. Sadly, although he has a solid kickflip, he was unable to do that on any of the electric skateboards, and that may be the problem.

We’ve seen the Christian Hosoi Hammerhead surfboards from UNIV, now Penny Skateboards has updated their Christian Hosoi Signature Series with the Penny Nickel 27 inch Hammerhead.
In speaking about his partnership with Penny and the “Hammerhead” graphic, Hosoi says that it came about when he was a young kid with big dreams wanting to do something outside of the box. “I was wanting to be an individual, creative, artistic entity. Skateboarding is art, mixed with what we love to do….and that’s where determination…(and) motivation comes from, it comes from a place where you do it because you love it. Not because you’re going to get something from it, but because you’re going to give back to it.”
