Can’t help but laugh when you hear the angry man at the beginning of Gage Boyle’s new Thunder Trucks part: “Do it again and I’ll take the camera from you. . . give me that goddamn board now. . . ” Nice work, Gage.

World Champ Sammy Luebke Part One

by The Editors on March 28, 2017

Jones Snowboards spins it like this:

With a big bag of tricks and a buttery smooth style, it’s a true pleasure to watch Sammy Luebke rip down a mountain. Sammy lights up any slope he touches, always choosing fluid, powerful lines. His skills are unmatched on the Freeride World Tour the past two seasons. Sammy just won back-to-back 2016 and 2017 world titles! In celebration, we are thrilled to share part one of Sammy’s 2016 full part featuring shots from TGR’s “TIGHTLOOSE”. Part one showcases Sammy at his finest, crushing long lines in the Teton backcountry with signature style.

We’ve no reason to disagree at this point. Thoughts?

Marc Johnson & Adidas Matchcourts

by The Editors on March 22, 2017

They are called Matchcourt Mid’s (guess they’re repurposed old Adidas tennis shoes or something). But they’re skate shoes now, thanks to Marc Johnson and his funny, funny ways.

Pantone 542, the official school color of the University of North Carolina, known as “Carolina Blue”, serves as the inspiration for the signature colorway of the Matchcourt Mid x MJ. The blue pays homage to Johnson’s home state and skateboarding roots.

Need we say more?

Lib Tech’s Pickup Stick 7’0′

by The Editors on March 16, 2017

Lib Tech has a new little 7 footer that’s for everyone. It’s called the Pickup Stick 7’0″. Think of it as a WaveStorm that’s not embarrassing to be seen with. Here’s what Lib has to say about it.

The Pickup Stick “mid size” shape perfectly fills the gap between a shortboard and a longboard. A smooth flowing shape and rocker combined with a single to double to flat tail contour for high performance shortboard style maneuvers and a concave for nose riding lift, refined but forgiving rails and great volume all add up to non stop wave catching performance/fun. Whether you are a first timer looking for a board that will be easy to progress on, a weekend warrior that is looking for maximum wave time or if you are a ripper looking for that “transition period” mid sized fun/performance option that takes an average day and makes it special, the Pickup Stick is always a perfect choice.

Sounds like the perfect board.
