Killian Guerin & The Teloscopia

by The Editors on May 18, 2018

French Phenom Killian Guerin has put out another edit from somewhere around the world and this time it’s the Telos. Aptly called The Teloscopia, it’s just another check in from Killian showing how much more he progresses and charges with every edit. Perfect viewing for a Friday afternoon “at work.”

Everyone’s Surfing Dirk Ziff’s Pool Now

by The Editors on May 11, 2018

Seems like everyone is getting a shot at Dirk Ziff’s surfing pool. Just last week Tony Hawk, Shaun White, and Eddie Vedder got some. Sadly, though we scoured social media for hours, this is all the footage we could find of that historic event. It’s true, our Internet skills are definitely on the fade.

Truck Surf Hotel #Vanlife #FTW

by The Editors on May 3, 2018

Thinking of surfing Portugal this summer? The Truck Surf Hotel might just be the perfect place to stay. A Portuguese surf couple took a Mercedes Actros truck and modded it (with the help of an RV building) into an transformer-like two-story, five bedroom hotel that sleeps 10 in beautiful modern style. That may be a few too many people for one bathroom, but you’re in the water all day anyway so whatever. They spend their winters in Morocco and summers in Portugal. For all the details click the link. or here if their website is still crushed.

Jamie Anderson Dances With The Stars

by The Editors on May 2, 2018

In the quest to turn snowboarding athletes into bonafide celebrities who can then cash in on their cross-over fame with massive endorsement deals, Dancing with The Stars has been a favorite. (Louie Vito made it five weeks). This season it was Jamie Anderson’s turn to spin across the stage in the arms of a professional dancer. Well, sadly, before anyone could develop any kind of love for America’s Slopestyle darling, she got bounced right off the show without even making it to week two. But, hey, she did it with a smile on her face that suggested she just might be glad this little stunt is over.

by The Editors on April 24, 2018

We’re all looking forward to checking this one out — especially those of us who were fans of Andy Irons in spite of full knowledge that he was on the downward spiral. We hope Kissed By God can be both a celebration AI’s life and a cautionary tale for an industry that has all too often ignored serious personal issues in pursuit of quality marketing. You know what we mean.

Kissed By God premiere’s in Los Angeles, CA on May 2, 2018 at the Regency Village Theater. In Honolulu, May 6, 2018 at the Hawaii Theatre Center, and in NYC on May 10, 2018 at NYU Skirball. For all the details click the link.

Babes On Bikes: Women Can Do It All

by The Editors on March 21, 2018

Yes, aside from being able to create new humans inside their own bodies, women can also ride motorcycles, and snowboards, and skateboards. They can also surf. We should all be past needing these reminders, but it’s always good to see evidence every now and again. Here, let Hana Beaman, Sarka Pancochova, Cheryl Maas, and their friends at Harley-Davidson show you a little of what we’re talking about.

Georgian Chairlift Rollback Distaster

by The Editors on March 16, 2018

Resort professionals certainly have all kinds of great reasons why this could never happen at your favorite resort, yet today (March 16, 2018) it happened at “Gudauri, a resort on the Greater Caucasus mountain range in Georgia,” according to a story in the Washington Post. Eight people were reportedly injured, but no one died, thankfully. Guess the big lesson from this clip is to jump off before you get to the bullwheel.

Nyjah Huston Profiled In LA Weekly

by The Editors on March 8, 2018

With Nyjah Huston’s ‘Til Death seared into our retinas we were reminded of how strange his trip really has been thanks to a profile by Lily Moayeri in LA Weekly.

In an interview, Huston is prepared for personal questions. His responses are tailored and efficient, his tone practiced and final, not inviting further questioning into such subjects as his father, his partying, his haters. He gives a nervous sniff at the end of each of his responses.

The profile covers all that and more, but we’ll let you read it yerself.
