Nixon announced today (Monday, November 18, 2013) that they have named former Dyrdek Group Chief Creative Officer Tom Jones as their Creative Director.
Nixon co-founder, Chad DiNenna, commented, “Nixon has collaborated with Tom over the years and we are excited to bring his experience and talent into Nixon. I am confident that his creative expertise, rooted in skateboarding, combined with his respect for world-class design uniquely qualifies him to cultivate the Nixon vision globally.”

Nixon’s new The Baja watch does quite a bit more than simply tell the time.
The Baja’s protective angled bezel conceals an arsenal of digital assets including: compass, flashlight and thermometer, strapped with a nylon cuff and band.
Now, if only it had a tide function it might be the perfect watch for a trip to Baja. . .

Nixon announced today that after an “exhaustive search” they’ve named former Nike exec Nick Stowe as CEO of the company replacing Andy Laats, who will become executive chairman.
Stowe, 43, has over 20 years of successful leadership experience with start-ups and established global brands including jewelry company Stella & Dot, Converse and Hurley. . . “Nick understands our potential, and he’s the kind of guy I want at Nixon,” said Laats. “He’s an experienced leader who not only has formal business training, but also knows how to grow strong consumer brands.”

Founding Nixon Canadian sales team member Brian White has been named to the position of Director of North American Wholesale Sales at Nixon where he will oversee the company’s US and Canadian wholesale sales and report to Mike Hoefer.

Nixon’s snow team is happy to welcome Nicolas Müller to its ranks.

The Soundclash Project is made up of new pro model boards representing Paul Rodriguez, Torey Pudwill, Ryan Sheckler, Danny Way and Colin McKay. Each board features pre-applied custom grip tape, corresponding custom wheels and a custom color update to Nixon’s TPS (mobile speaker). This collar is now available on nixon.com/soundclash and select skate shops worldwide in limited quantities and once they sell out, they are gone forever.

The Nixon Euro surf team now include French ripper Marc Lacomare. How’s that for good news?
The multiple French Junior Champion and former ASP Billabong World Junior Champion is no stranger to the Nixon family having previously been on the Nixon flow program. Following Marc’s impressive showing in the Canary Islands, the team made a unanimous decision to promote the Hossegor-based surfer to the European surf team.
Now Marc knows what time it is.
