Encinitas, CA – December 10, 2017 – Legendary lensman Jack English announced today the launch of Sea Of Seven, a premier online retail destination for artifacts of the authentic surf lifestyle.

Credited as taking one of the most fearsome photos ever of Pipeline, English has transformed his award-winning photo and numerous others into collectible elements of art, apparel and accessories.

“I’ve traveled to the world’s most exotic destinations to capture rare and raw moments of the true surfing lifestyle. And while my photos have earned me covers, ad campaigns and exhibitions, now is the first time they’re available to the public in a completely stylized medium. This is a highly personal project and it contains the work I’m proudest of.”

Revered for his skill in taking death-defying photos from inside enormous waves, English used this same tenacity for building his new company. “Sea Of Seven is exactly who I am. It’s not a made-up brand trying to bully its way into the surf industry. I’ve seen so many start-ups do that—the fancy offices, the overblown salaries… Sea Of Seven is the complete opposite. I just want to create cool clothes and art, and provide people with the opportunity of having my photos hang on their walls.”

The look and attitude of Sea Of Seven is just as cutting-edge as its creator, infusing elements of modern design with beach counter culture and hard rock music.

So what encouraged English’s to step out from behind the camera to launch a pioneering surf brand? His 10-year-old daughter Eden. “At its core Sea Of Seven is the ultimate dad-daughter collaboration. Eden’s youthful perspective and excitement for life provides me with an infinite source of creativity.”

English is also using Sea Of Seven as a platform to teach his daughter about the importance of providing for those in need, as a portion of all sales will be donated to homeless outreach programs throughout San Diego. “As I see it, this is simply a way for a neighbor to help out a neighbor.”

Prominent surf industry leaders are also taking a strong interest in Sea Of Seven, including famed art director Joe McElroy who’s work is highly respected by business giants. “I really appreciate the loyalty Jack has given me over the years. I’ve been working with him since I was the senior art director at Billabong and then at Hurley. Now Jack has created his own brand and I’m honored to be a part of it. Between his extraordinary design ideas and the incredible photos, it’s been a fantastic project. We look forward to doing much more together in the near future,” said McElroy.

Over 20 distinct designs are currently available for sale at Seaofseven.com
