Burton Launches 2014 Line & Site

The new Burton website is live. The new Burton website is live. The new. . . wait, you haven’t been waiting for this? Oh. Well, Burton Snowboards would still like you to check out all the work they’ve done to make buying their products oh so much easier.

Fully optimized for mobile and tablet browsing, the new site features a host of updated shopping tools, such as the Board Finder,Outfitter and completely redesigned Bag Check. At the heart of Burton.com is the Product section, which is fully enhanced so users can dive into the top 2014 tech stories via detailed descriptions, videos and close-up product images that clearly explain innovative product features. Another key highlight is the updated Dealer Locator that helps shoppers find a local store to check out all the latest men’s, women’s, youth and tech gear.

BURLINGTON, VT (August 13, 2013) The countdown is over, and the ‘Season of Reason’ is finally here with today’s launch of Burton’s new 2014 collection, Winter 2014 catalog and the completely redesigned Burton.com. One of the most anticipated moments of the year for snowboarders worldwide, today is the day when riders everywhere can check out thousands of new Burton 2014 snowboards, boots, bindings, outerwear, bags, apparel and more. And it doesn’t stop there. To kick the season off right, Burton is also premiering the first teaser from its brand new, four-part web video series, called “Burton Presents – [Snowboarding].”

First up is the product. Designed and tested by the world’s best snowboarders, the 2014 line is absolutely next level. Funny how the big B still trying to push the idea down the publics throats that this is how their boards are getting made…this is Craigs R&D facility. The board you are riding got pumped out of china like most others…not so special. That said, pretty cool marketing piece…

I was in that factory last spring, did the tour and everything- I didn’t see one of those riders working in there. It does remind me of how Smokin Snowboards are made for real, by their riders.

Just after the Mini Cooper rolls by and reminds me of why I snowboard, the intro really reminds me of another recent video intro that was pretty sweet…just can’t put my finger on where I saw it. The rapid fire editing of a never ending stream of sextuple corks in the the second half makes snowboarding look gymnasty, yet unattainable. I’m relieved that snowboarding has become so elite that I don’t have to go through the trouble to do it anymore!
