Surfer Helps Rescue Bali Crash Victims

166552247-Copy-1-522X293When a Lion Air jet overshot a Bali runway on Saturday, April 13, 2013, and blasted right out into the ocean surfer Ben Panagian was on the beach with some friends, according to a story on Sky.com. They paddled out to see what they could do to help.

The 31-year-old said that when he and his friends reached the jet, they began transporting those could not swim to the shore. . . “Most people were in shock, they were panicking,” he said. “There was one man who could not walk … and there was one woman whose face was bleeding.”

Panagian is also reportedly the boyfriend of Schapelle Corby, an Australian woman who is spending 15 years in Indonesian prison after being accused of smuggling marijuana. For the rest of the story, click the link.
