While at San Francisco’s Rochambeau Playground in the Richmond District “to accept a $250,000 donation to the San Francisco Rec & Parks Department from the Coca-Cola Corporation,” California’s dapper Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom rolled around in front of the cameras, according to a post on RichmondSF Blog.
The money will be put towards a new trail in Golden Gate Park, as well as the SF Rec & Park Gear Up Fund which helps provide supplemental equipment to recreation center programs across the city. Part of Coca-Cola’s donation will provide a mobile van with biking, kayaking, and skateboarding gear.
Newsom’s skateboarding apparently didn’t end in calamity. Nice to know California has someone in the State government who can roll.
