Chris Karol Goes Electric Moto

by The Editors on November 6, 2008

3Former world champion snowboarder Chris Karol is bringing the Quantya electric motorcycle to America via his new website Shredelectric.

I have a long history in the action sports industry and I have worked with many cutting edged products throughout the years, but I have yet to be as excited as I am now about the electric motorcycles we are bringing into the U.S.,” said Chris Karol, CEO of Shredelectric.

The bikes cost more than $10k so go ahead and shred the rad, but don’t pat the dog.

Nice! I never knew Chris’s background. He has been offering Quantya demo rides and that is how I originally heard of him.

Quantya has the best looking electric dirt bike imho. So far anyway. Hope I can get a ride on one soon.

Careful with “Electric Moto” in the title, that is Quantya’s compeditor. 😉

Silence is the missing ingredient in MX, supermoto, etc taking off big time. Warehouses, vacant lots, how about an urban enduro? No noise, less complaints. I can see why Chris is excited, I am too!

I took my testride courtesy of Shredelectric, and wound up with a strong urge to roost doughnuts in my backyard with it. I mean, why do we HAVE lawns if not to shred them?

Yo Dog! Thanks for the shout! Remember the last time you had a really cool toy that nobody understood, but was insanely fun? It’s like that. A new frontier!

Come by for a ride whenever you want. Salute /; quantya@shredables.com
