Swiss Ski Resort Purchased for 90 Cents

22Ernen.650Bruno Prior, a British entrepreneur just picked up the ski resort in Ernen, Switzerland for one Swiss franc (about 90 cents US). The resort includes four chair-lifts, two groomers, a restaurant and 12 miles of ski slopes.

“Mr. Prior will bring new life and work for those who want to live here, and maybe also new children,” says Ruedi Schweizer, whose family is part of a commune that works a small farm, runs a small organic-food store and offers mule trekking for tourists.

Prior, who is recently flush with cash after his family sold one of it’s businesses plans to invest $45 million in the resort. We’ll see how that goes for him.
