The night of music, art and fun features the work of J. Grant Brittain, Dave Swift, Andy Jenkins, Mike Blabac, Don Pendleton, Tony Larson, Mark Penxa, Travis Millard, Mel Kadel, Isacc McKay Randozzi, Randy Laybourne, Steph Walker, Michael Coleman, Dan Boulton and Jess Andrews with music by DJ Lardog and MC Rich The Stich.

A silent auction featuring top artists and photographers plus a raffle featuring the best skateboarding brands will raise money for “Grind for Life”, a unique organization that helps people with cancer and their families through skateboarding-related events. . . “When Mat passed I knew I wanted to do something to keep his spirit and love for music and skateboarding alive,” said Tony Larson, SUPERbrand Creative Director. “I’m blown away by the generosity of Matt Hensley and all of the brands and artists who are committing to this. Mat would be stoked.”

An Amazing Art Auction, Silent Raffle, and Night of Music Benefiting “Grind for Life”

Cardiff by the Sea, CA, December 13, 2010 – SUPERbrand Apparel has joined with The Skateboard Mag for Maturday Nights, a series of music and art events benefiting “Grind for Life.” It’s happening at Hensley’s Pub in Carlsbad this Saturday, December 18th at 8:00 PM.

A silent auction featuring top artists and photographers plus a raffle featuring the best skateboarding brands will raise money for “Grind for Life”, a unique organization that helps people with cancer and their families through skateboarding-related events.

“When Mat passed I knew I wanted to do something to keep his spirit and love for music and skateboarding alive,” said Tony Larson, SUPERbrand Creative Director. “I’m blown away by the generosity of Matt Hensley and all of the brands and artists who are committing to this. Mat would be stoked.”

Raffle prizes will be substantial at the event. Friends at RVCA, DC, Girl and Chocolate Skateboarding, Innes, Skate Mental, Matix, DVS, Lakai, Alien Workshop, Habitat, Zero, Mystery, Fallen, Green Issue, Siege Audio and L&L Printers have all graciously donated to the cause. Tickets to win these high-value raffle items can be bought for a mere $5 at the event.

Additionally SUPERbrand will host an amazing silent art auction. The likes of J.Grant Brittain, Dave Swift, Andy Jenkins, Mike Blabac, Don Pendleton, Tony Larson, Mark Penxa, Travis Millard, Mel Kadel, Isacc McKay Randozzi, Randy Laybourne, Steph Walker, Michael Coleman, Dan Boulton and Jess Andrews have all contributed pieces to raise funds.

About Grind for Life, Inc.
Grind For Life, Inc was founded in 2003, by life-long skateboarder Mike Rogers, after his second battle with sarcoma cancer. The mission of the Grind For Life organization is to provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families when traveling long distances to doctors and hospitals. In addition, they educate and inspire these patients and families concerning cancer survival and recovery. Those who qualify may request assistance for travel and lodging expenses, meal, and personal needs. Funds for this organization will be raised by, but not limited to, hosting skateboarding events and festivals, ebay sales of donated goods, fundraiser’s, Grind For life sponsors a skateboard team to perform at these events to keep the spirit of skateboarding alive.
