A surfer from Western Australia was reportedly knocked off his board and mauled by a shark while surfing Conspicious Beach near Walpole, according to the Hearald Sun.
The surfer’s leg is believed to have been badly savaged in the attack. It is understood he was bitten close to his knee, but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening yesterday. . . An ambulance crew was sent from Walpole to tend the victim’s wounds before rushing him to Albany Hospital, which is about one hour’s drive further south.
“Monstrous” great whites have been apparently spotted in the area. West Oz surfers are tough.
The rain cooperated for the most part and Chris Cole did was he’s been doing a lot lately—he methodically destroyed section after section laying down a list of video game moves in each section. P-Rod had a good morning, but had some trouble in the final section.
There’s really nothing more to say other than to be sure and watch the replay on Fuel.TV if you missed it the first time.
Norwich, Vermont packed the streets today June 5, 2010 as they officially welcomed Kevin Pearce home, according to a story from the Associated Press.
Walking gingerly but on his own, Pearce hugged his friends and well-wishers, threw T-shirts to children and thanked anyone who would listen for rallying to his side. . . “I’d just like to say thank you you guys so much for everything you’ve done for me, and it’s just so incredible how helpful it’s been to me,” he said. “Thank you all so much.” . . . Fire trucks blew their horns, hand-lettered signs saying “Kevin is Home” and “KP Our Hometown Hero” adorned a white clapboard gazebo and Town Recreation Director Jill Kearney presented him with a baseball cap and golf shirt in a ceremony that drew about 200 people.
Quite a lot to go through for a golf shirt, but we know KP was stoked.

Something about this Great White Shark video from Pacific Palisades doesn’t look quite right. Is it the odd lighting? We’re no experts on video editing, we’re skeptical.
