12 Days Of Gifts Day 4: SOL Republic Relays

by The Editors on December 4, 2014

Solrepub Relays

Know someone who likes riding or skating with their own personal sound track rolling? It’s probably hard to think of anyone who doesn’t rock their music when they roll. And those people need headphones that stay where they’re supposed to stay. The SOL Republic Relays are in-ear headphones that lock into the ear canal and don’t budge no matter how hard they get rattled. Not only do they stay put, they fit so well that they block out ambient noise almost as well as more expensive noise-canceling headphones.

The Relays feature an inline mic and music control buttons that are compatible with iOS and other devices, so pausing the music or answering a phone call is as easy as pressing a button on the cord. It’s never been easier to stay in the groove while on the move. The Relays come in five colors (red, lime, blue, white, and black) to fit the fashion plate of even the pickiest of shreds. Replays retail for $79.99 and can be purchased right here.

Newsflash: Jed Anderson Is Crazy Loco

by The Editors on December 4, 2014

Seems Salomon’s Jed Anderson is making the rounds these days with his wild antics both on and off the snow. Here are some of Mr. Anderson’s finer moments of skate and snow footage from last year. Sorry, while there’s lots of high-fives and bro hugging there is no boy kissing included in this edit.

Victor De Le Rue On The Search

by The Editors on December 3, 2014

More snow shred action from Rip Curl, Absinthe Films, and Victor De Le Rue.

Victor DE LE RUE is an amazing rider who raised his riding skills to another level last season. Riding steep icy lines, massive kickers in the BC or simply playing with natural terrain in Alaska, Victor can do it all.

Yes, it appears that he can.

Oli Gagnon’s Hoopsnake Video Premiere

by The Editors on December 3, 2014

We’re always interested in people’s side project (wonder why?). And snow photographer Oli Gagnon has a great one–drumming in the “doom metal” band Hoopsnake. This is their first music video titled Curse of the White Widow. It has all the key elements: heavy bass, banging drums, strangulation, decapitation, masturbation, amputation, cannibalism, and a zombie. But we don’t want to ruin it for you. Just watch it. For an interview with Gagnon click the link.

12 Days Of Gifts Day 3: Spy Bravo Goggle

by The Editors on December 3, 2014

Spy Bravo

Don’t be fooled. Everyone needs a new pair of goggles. That old pair that you think is all good just spent the summer packed up and crushed in a dank snowboard bag. They’ve most likely been mangled in the process. That’s why these Spy Bravos may be the perfect gift for the 2014-15 season.

The Bravo is a midsize goggle that features Spy’s Lock Steady™ technology — the quickest, fingerprint free lens change system on the market. See better. Feel better. Perform better. A free mirrored bonus lens allows you to adjust quickly to changing conditions. They feature: custom built from a flexible polyurethane frame, anti-fog 5.5-base ARC® spherical dual-lens system with anti-scratch protection, free mirrored bonus lens, triple-layer Isotron™ face foam with moisture-wicking Dri-Force™ fleece, Silicone-ribbed strap, 100% UV protection, Helmet compatible with the most popular helmets on the planet.

Seriously, what more could you ask for. Yes, the Bravo comes in 11 color ways, but we like it black. The Bravo retails for $184.95 and can be purchased right here.

12 Days of Gifts Day 2: Stance Wittlake

by The Editors on December 2, 2014

Stance WittlakeWe’ve never been all that hyped on getting socks for Christmas, but that was before we slipped into these Stance Wittlake five-toe compression socks. These things are designed for snowboarding, but once our feet were in them we realized they’re pretty good for everything from kicking around the house, to rolling skateparks in the winter.

For this sock Stance partnered with Scotty Wittlake and Injinji. The Wittlake features Injinji’s patented five-toe design, which properly aligns toes for natural movement. To enhance circulation and reduce fatigue, the sock provides varying degrees of compression throughout the lower leg. And to keep things extra comfy, the Wittlake sports a beefy shin cushion, arch support, and a deep heel pocket. Follow your toes to freedom.

After wearing these 51 percent merino wool socks around for a couple days it feels almost wrong to have all our toes crammed next to each other in our shoes. Believe the five-toe hype. The Stance Wittlake’s retail for $32 and can be purchased right here.
