Louif Louif Oh Yeah We Gotta Go

by The Editors on November 7, 2012

Louis-Felix Paradis goes snowboarding and we all get to watch.

This video features footage that earned him the 2012 X Games Real Snow gold medal, some of his time spent on Team Vacation, and some footage that until now, no one has seen. Louif is not a loud, in-your-face type of guy; he takes technical riding to the streets with modesty, unparalleled grace, and deafening style. Thousands have emulated him, but there can be only one. This is Louif.

Apparently, it is. Enjoy.

Dale Rehberg Steps Up At Flow

by The Editors on November 7, 2012

Dale Press Release 2Legendary new school snowboarder Dale Rehberg has been named Director of Marketing at Flow Snowboards.

“Dale was one of a cast of characters that helped pioneer the whole jib scene in the 90’s, a period which paved the way for today’s park and freestyle scene. Unfortunately, snowboarding has lost a bit of its irreverent, pioneering ways. We believe that Dale can bring this back to the sport and most certainly to Flow. Dales is authentic, fearless and a true maverick. We look forward to all the great things he will bring to the Flow brand.” – said, Flow Sports CEO, Anthony Scaturro.

It’s always good to see people with deep, deep roots in snowboarding moving into positions of leadership in the business. Congrats, Dale. For the official word from Flow, follow the jump. [click to continue…]

Rome Snowboards Edits Monthly

by The Editors on November 6, 2012

13 12Months Facebook 843X403

For the 2012-13 season Rome Snowboards will be filming and producing monthly films for each month of the year beginning with November.

For the next twelve months, we’ll create and release a monthly film about some aspect of snowboarding that we are into. Different spots. Different riders. Different fixations. It’s a format that gives us the freedom to do whatever we want. . . The different months of the year open unique opportunities for different types of snowboarding. Sometimes we’ll probably slow shit down for mellow good times; sometimes we’ll ramp shit up with hammers—whatever we feel like doing that month. Pros, ams, regional kids, homies and assorted riders in the SDS will come along for the ride. Basically, if it feels good, we’ll do it.

That’s a nice way to get the crew to create some month web content, huh? Follow the jump for the official word. [click to continue…]
