The boys from Bohnam have have set aside their outdoorsy vibe for a moment and picked up paddles for some table tennis action. From the looks of it, no one runs the table like Austin Lycans.

If you’re in the Denver, Colorado Flatiron Crossings zone tomorrow (Saturday, June 8, 2013) then be sure and roll by the Zumiez Couch Tour for a little Curren$y exchange and opener Freddie Biggs. Deathwish will be there as well putting down a demo. But be careful, it could get a bit hazy up in that piece.
Hitting nine major cities across the U.S. from Seattle to New York City, the Zumiez Couch Tour sponsored by Neff, Oakley, Skullcandy, Sector 9, TransWorld SKATEboarding and Drink Water features an afternoon full of music and skateboarding. Each stop also features one presenting brand (LRG, Volcom, Plan B, DGK and Gold, ICECREAM, Deathwish and Baker, Adidas, Neff, Girl and Chocolate) that brings their pro skate team for a demo and autograph session, curates the music for that stop including a meet and greet with the performers, and offers activities for all attendees.
For the official word from Zumiez and the rest of the Couch Tour’s dates and locations, follow the jump. [click to continue…]

Ah yes, the backyard ramp. We’ve skated a few in our time. “After all the skate parks of the 1970’s closed down and before street skating took over, there was the backyard ramp. In part one of this episode, Grosso sits down with Lance Mountain to reminisce about the “golden age of the backyard ramp” in this edition of Jeff Grosso’s Love Letters to Skateboarding. Enjoy.

There was a time when all we’d skateboard on was Lib Tech Skateboards. And then they became too hard to find. Are those days over? We’re not sure, but we do know that Sky Siljeg knocks the teeth out of pretty much everything he skates. And, so what if he and Mikey “L’il Swayze” Swearingen, Chad Fenlon and Edwin Swagerty didn’t even leave the State of Washington on this tour, it’s still fun to watch from the safety of our command module.

We never get tired of watching Walker Ryan skate, that’s why this remix of Walker’s Perpetual Motion part is that much better. It’s like peeping it for the first time all over again. Only different. Sort of. Either way it’s smooth like glass.

Eagle, Idaho’s Proof Eyewear has dropped their 2013 Spring/Summer collection and some of the frames are fashioned from “repurposed skateboard decks” and the multicolored layers look smooth.
The Bud sunglass (shown above) is a modern classic shaped frame. The Bud is part of the Skateboard collection which is handcrafted and assembled from 5 ply canadian maple skateboard decks. This unique skateboard construction makes them very durable and one of a kind. Each frame is hand polished and coated with a water/sweat protective seal.
Wonder how easy these are to focus when you just can’t land? Either way, they look pretty good. Check ’em out on Proof’s website.

We learned our lesson years ago about saying anything about the Battles at the Berrics until Steve and Eric say it’s okay. So, with that said, be sure to click the link for all the coverage from this weekend’s Battle 6. It will blow your mind three times. Yes, and the Wall Street Journal even blogged it again.
