Lakai is introducing the spring 2014 Echelon collection with two new styles– the Camby Mid (pictured above) and the Albany mid.
Since 1999, Lakai’s commitment to peak skateboard function has made us the performance footwear choice for skateboarders everywhere. Function leads aesthetic. With Echelon, we’ve flipped these ideals with the freedom to design shoes that maximize style, while remaining true to Lakai’s skate heritage and commitment to quality.

Modernica is our favorite LA based furniture fabricators (in fact we sleep with them every night) and the fact that they’ve just done a collab deal with HUF is pretty cool. And even though the chair is green, Keith was nice enough to keep the pot leaf off the logo. . .

Don’t know if there was any information in this clip or not. . . wait, guess the news is that Street League Skateboarding has gone form ESPN 2 to Fox Sports 1. So that’s like moving up a number and dropping a little on the viewers. No worries. We like Fox Sports 1 better anyway. And so should you.

Want to ride it, too? Guess you’ll have to wait for the iOS version of the board in game form or something like that. All we can say is we hope these celebrities are getting paid. For more check out HUVrtech.com.

ActiveReplay, the action tracking company behind the Trace. Has reportedly landed $2.1 million in seed funding, according to a story on SoCalTech.com.
Details on the funding have not yet been announced. According to the filing, part of the funding came from Allegro Venture Partners, and also included a number of other investors. Active Replay’s CEO is Dr. Anatole Lokshin, a pioneer in developing GPS devices, who was the CTO of Magellan Navigation.
Sounds like perfect timing as they’ve been promising to release the Trace in March 2014. $2.1 million should get a few devices out into the wild, and it would be nice to see one of these “Strava for action sports” devices make it past the vaporware phase.

Our favorite logo battle returns this March for 2014 as Scott Hultgren hits us back with Valhalla’s March Logo Madness.
The bracket competition takes its cues from the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament but instead of a bunch of guys running around for three hours, logos from brands like Quiksilver, Volcom, Indpendent Trucks, Girl, Burton, Nike, Adidas and Obey go head to head for a day. Whoever gets the most votes moves on to the next day to battle the next logo.
And who wins this contest is completely decided by online voters. That’s you! If you’d like to take part, click here for the first week’s battle, then tune back in each day during the month for another round of competition. This year’s madness kicks off with Surfing, following each week by skateboarding, snowboarding, lifestyle, and the Grand Royale winner take all battle the last week of March.
