The Bones Brigade: An Autobiography documentary will be premiering next month at the Sundance Film Festival and though it’s not his first trip though the cold streets of Park City, Stacy Peralta still seems honestly enthusiastic about the whole game, according to an interview with Colin Bane on ESPN.com/Action.
Even though this is my fourth time, it’s just as exciting as my first time. Sundance is important to me because I’m not a big fish. I’m a small fish in the world of filmmaking and it’s really, really difficult to get attention for independent films and documentary films. When you get accepted into Sundance knowing that 10,000 other films from all over the world were trying to get into this festival at the same time, and yours got selected, it gives a certain cachet and importance to your film. It gives your film a blessing, in a sense. Instantly, here’s all this attention on your little film and it gives you a chance.
We’re just looking forward to seeing the boys back together one more time.

Apparently, Globe is introducing a new cruiser board line (that looks a lot like a Penny), although, we have to admit that was not the first thing we noticed about this particular edit.
Introducing Globe’s latest addition to its cruiser board line up – the Bantam. These may look like the boards of yesteryear, but they definitely are not. With a 30-day guarantee on the board and a lifetime guarantee on the trucks, the Globe Bantam Cruiser is not a toy. The board is stiffer, the trucks are wider and the components last longer than anything in the market.
Seriously, what can’t a crew of nearly naked teens sell these days?
To keep his promo image rolling Rob Dyrdek will apparently attempt to recreate the barrel roll car stunt from the James Bond classic Man With The Golden Gun in Los Angeles on December 17, 2011. Rob is calling it the “Kickflip car.” All this for a little chance from Chevy. Follow the jump for the original “kick flip” clip from 1974. [click to continue…]
A southern California man who had been repeatedly riding his skateboard down the street, falling off, and then laying in the road for minutes at a time was finally run over on Tuesday night (November 29, 2011) by a 60-year-old woman in a Toyota Tacoma, according to a story in the San Diego Union-Tribune.
After one fall, he was lying in the roadway when a 60-year-old woman in a Toyota Tacoma pulled out of a driveway, turned right, and rolled over him. The CHP and paramedics were called about 5:10 p.m. The driver told officers it felt like she had gone over a speed bump, Parent said.
The 23-year-old “speed bump” was arrested “on suspicion of being under the influence of methamphetamine” then sent to a local hospital with a fractured spine and internal injuries. Luckily, it appears he was already medicated.
Josh Irving was filming for the Altered Skates video and had a little mishap. Luckily, he was with friends. Here’s what Irving says:
And a big thanks to all my boys for saving my life! And Prestons quick thinking and he grabbed my head and stopped it from slamming on the ground. If he didn’t do that i would be dead or a vegetable!!
Glad he didn’t end up worse off. Close one indeed.
