So it’s November and the action Internets of the world are all aflutter with the new Reef calendar. This document is full of hot ass, asses, ass in the water, ass out of the water, and ass next to the water. Several of the asses even have heads, fewer still have faces. If hot ass is your thing, then Reef certainly has the hot ass calendar for you.
This year’s collection of monthly ass-attacks is reportedly: “. . . dedicated to the welcoming people of Ecuador, particularly the government and local people of San Cristobal, for their warm hospitality and enthusiasm in collaboration on this project.” Apparently the people of Ecuador enjoy ass as much as the next guy.
Spy Inc. is happy to report that in the quarter ended September 30, 2012 they only lost $1.8 million on total net sales of $9.9 million. The loss is down from $3 million in the same quarter in 2011. Couple that with net sales being up eight percent, and an increased borrowing capacity from Costa Brava Partnership III, L.P. and it appears things are continuing toward profitability. And that’s always good
“With strong SPY® brand sales growth of 17% for 3rd quarter of 2012 over 2011, building on the huge SPY® brand growth rate of 25% for the 3rd quarter of 2011 over 2010, we are happy to have achieved our 6th consecutive quarter of year over year growth of SPY® brand products. We feel this once again demonstrates the strength of our renewed brand positioning and exciting new product collection,” said Michael Marckx, President and CEO. “We are especially pleased that we were able to grow our North American snow goggle and sunglass businesses because of such a poor snow season last year that we believe caused many of our retailers to have relatively high inventory levels going into this 2012 fall snow goggle buying season.”

Spy jumps face first into the retro pool with a new series of glasses called The Whitewalls.

We were just thinking: we’re taking our retro, easy riding choppers out to the desert to sleep on the ground next to some cactus, shoot guns, listen to loud 60s music, and drink beer around a huge bonfire, but we have nothing to wear. Luckily, Brixton and Polerhave teamed up to produce the perfect T-shirt and hat for our strange trip.

He began surfing at age 13 and has gone on to become one of the world’s most respected big-wave surfers. A Stifel Nicolaus analyst named Jim Duffy reportedly upgraded his rating on Quiksilver to buy from hold and the stock jump a whopping 38 cents to $3.78 a share on Monday, according to a story in Businessweek.
The company’s updated management could bring new energy to the company. Some leaders are also approaching deadlines in their restricted stock grants that would provide a strong incentive for them to get the stock price back up. . . Duffy also said that early hints of stabilization in Europe and some lower administrative costs could improve Quiksilver’s revenue and margin picture in 2013.
There are many ways to help those whose lives have been impacted by Superstorm Sandy and ERGO Clothing has chosen to channel their help through their own Restore The Shore Projects.
Restore The Shore Projects was started by ERGO intern, Derek Koch, who is a 2nd year graphic design student at Rowen University in Glassboro, NJ. Koch and friend, Travis LeBar, started a Facebook page with Koch’s design, and it went viral overnight. “Derek was an amazing intern for us this past summer,” stated ERGO Co-Founder, Pete DiSpirito. “When he came to me with the initial design, we hit the ground running.” Product will be shipping within 7-10 days and 100% of the profits will be donated to various charities and organizations.
ERGO plans to give “all profits from the sale of the shirts” to Waves For Water. For answers to more questions on Restore the Shore, please click here. For the official word from ERGO, follow the jump. [click to continue…]
