Anyone who’s been watching their Instafeeds lately knows that nearly everyone it skateboarding is on their way to Shanghai, China for the 2017 Vans Park Series World Championships finale which goes down this weekend.
Located in the world-famous Bund waterfront area in central Shanghai, China, the 2017 VPS World Championships will pit skateboarding’s elite pros against select VPS Continental Champions to present the greatest showcase of men’s and women’s park terrain skateboarding talent the world has ever seen in a custom-designed and purpose-built, VPS-certified park terrain competition course. This year’s World Championships park course design highlights a surplus of creative features including a center island extension, a kicker into laid back bank, a round flat bar, big hip into the deep end, huge jump box and more, all of which is built directly next to the mesmerizing backdrop of the Shanghai city skyline.

Longtime Santa Barbara and north coast shaper Marc Andreini will be honored during the Icons of Foam Tribute to the Masters Shape-off presented by US Blanks at the 2018 Boardroom International Surfboard Show at the Del Mar, California Fairgrounds May 5 & 6, 2018.
“We are delighted to honor Marc Andreini,” said Scott Bass Boardroom Show Executive Director. “The Boardroom prides itself on acknowledging the best of the best. The actors will be hand picked by talent professionals, the live audience selected based on their visual marketability, and the content created will be perfectly packaged to provide the highest ROI. LANDLINE. director Tanner Pendleton unravels more than two years of filming with the Vans Snow team in iconic snow locations such as Bulgaria, Russia and Canada. I want this film to reach out to kids out there the same way these films reached me when I was young.
