We’re always suckers for a clever advertising hook and director Nicholaus Goossen nails it with his This Never Gets Old commercial for Osiris Shoes.
“In conceptualizing the POV concept the goal was to create a commercial that in 30/60 seconds captures all facets of youth lifestyle through action sports, art and music with subtle cameos of Osiris riders, but then tricks the mind and influences viewers to share and push it viral,” said Brian Reid, Osiris Co-Founder/CCO. “Working with Goossen and Futuristic Films for our second big campaign was a fun challenge and our most creative commercial to date.”
The spot, which features Corey Duffel, PLG, Kellen James, Lindsay Perry, Dirt Nasty and Risk, will be airing on MTV and Fuel starting today. If you haven’t already seen it, we guarantee it was force a giggle. Follow the jump for the official word.
Agenda NYC officially opened their doors to buyers and the press at 9 AM yesterday morning (July 16, 2012). Located inside the hardwood-floored, loft-windowed 82 Mercer space, Agenda is in the heart of Soho and only a short walk away from Supreme, the Burton Store, Saturday’s NYC and the many style boutiques that have made the neighborhood famous.

The Ellington, released today (July 16, 2012) by Supra, is featured in this edit shot entirely in New York City.
The technical features of the Ellington begin with the lightweight, full length SUPRAFOAM midsole that is thicker in the heel for impact protection and thinner at the toe for better board feel. It rests upon a rubber outsole with sidewalls in the toe and ollie area. The mid top collar, as well as the molded, internal ankle pods provide support and a snug, comfortable fit while retaining movement. A SUPRAFOAM footbed, with mesh sock liner, gives comfort and impact protection. The herring bone pattern in the sole’s high friction areas supplies superior grip.
Erik Ellington seems right proud of his new kicks:
“I think this shoe is a good combination of something that is functional, and it protects your feet, and it looks good,” Erik said. “I tried to incorporate all those things and I think we came out with a really good shoe. I’ve been with SUPRA since the beginning, in 2006, and I’m stoked to release my sixth shoe, the SUPRA Ellington.”

Ben Linden, 24, of Perth, Australia (pictured right with his girlfriend Alana Noakes) was killed Saturday, July 14, 2012 after being mauled by what experts believe was a great white shark four kilometers south of Wedge Island, according to a story in Perth Now.
The jet-ski rider who tried to retrieve the man said it was a “massive, massive white shark” and “there was blood everywhere”. . . The shark tried to knock Matt Holmes, 22, off his jet ski as he attempted to pull the surfer on to the back of the craft. Then the beast returned to take the lifeless body for a second time. . . “By the time I got out there half of him had been taken and the shark was circling,” Mr Holmes said of the attack near Wedge Island, 180km north of Perth.
Linden was reportedly the fifth person killed by a shark in less than a year. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and especially with his girlfriend Alana.
Hackers have allegedly posted close to 35,000 “unencrypted text passwords” from the Billabong.com store, according to a story in The Australian.
Online publication SC Magazine has reported that hacktivists released the credentials under #WikiBoatWednesday, an event popular in hacktivist Twitter circles. . . Billabong has told the magazine that its customer database did not contain financial data, only personal information, but is yet to confirm or deny whether its user information has been hacked.
Billabong said the following: “We view this attack as an extremely serious matter and have taken urgent action to contain the incident and prevent further attacks occurring.” That’s just one reason why you shouldn’t use your email password when you’re buying bikinis.
Paul Rodriguez kept his X Games gold ways rolling as he slipped past Chris Cole, Ryan Sheckler, and Nyjah “sprained knee” Huston to win Street League Skateboarding Stop 3 in the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona. If you watched it live on ESPN2, then you know.
Fans were on the edge of their seats during the last section of the finals as Rodriguez went trick for trick with Chris Cole, Ryan Sheckler and Shane O’Neill. Rodriguez came out on top with an overall Finals score of 45.7. Cole came in a close second with an overall Finals score of 43.1 followed by Ryan Sheckler who rounded out the top three with a 40.5. Cole needed a 9.0 on his final attempt to take the top spot but missed to give Paul the win.
