This is what it looked like at Squaw Valley’s High Camp this morning. That’s right it snowed overnight on June 28, 2011, according to a story in the Reno Gazette Journal.
The snow level came down to about 8,200 feet, which was enough to drop snow at Squaw Valley’s High Camp and the summit at Northstar, said weather service meteorologist Scott McGuire.
It’s just in time for 4th of July snowboarding. But seriously, when is someone going to put a fork in this thing?

Since dropping out of the print world we’ve missed a few of the goings on in the business of dead trees.
Apparently, in January of 2011, infamous graphic designer David Carson announced the launch of a new print magazine named, not surprisingly, Carson Magazine. Since then two issues have reportedly been printed. We’ve see neither of them, and from the looks of a message on David Carson’s personal website, it would appear that we never will. Things don’t seem to be going well at the magazine six months after launch. Here’s what Carson says:
david carson has no connection whatsoever with the website and magazine calling itself “carson mag”, nor the RECENTLY formed ( from the same people) delaware based corporation calling itself “carson media” legal action is pending and no other comments can be made at this point. june 27, 2011.
Sounds like another case of investors deciding they know more about business than the artists do. Which brings us to reminder number #57: Don’t put your name on something unless you plan on owning at least 51 percent of it forever.

Well right now as far as I’m concerned Travis rice Is the best snowboarder in the world but people don’t know because main stream media is focused on the big contests and only relates to the results of them. Another thing about snowboard contests is there are too many organizations and too many contests. It’s actually more of a mess than boxing. The losers are the progression of the sport and the top riders. They have too many contests and don’t know which ones to enter. I think it is real tough for these contest riders. They do too many contests and get hurt because it is just too hard hard on the body. If they don’t take care of themselves they will have a short career.

A full-scale, 70 square-meter (753.5 -square foot) version of this original idea and vision created by Pierre-André Senizergues, designed by artist, Gil Le Bon Delapointe and supervised by Francois Perrin, is now a reality and on display at La Gaîté Lyrique Public Domaine. The PAS House is a glimpse into the future that shows what the NEXT 25 years may look like when combining the powerful influence of skateboarding with a dwelling place.
